Tuesday 8th March – Today is International Women’s Day 2022 – Break The Bias
International Women’s Day is a day devoted to celebrating the achievements of women and seeking gender equality. It is observed around the world to honour the social, economic, and cultural achievements of women from all areas of life.
The day was observed for the first time in 1911 with The United Nations starting to celebrate International Women’s Day in the International Women’s Year in 1975.
In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly invited member states to proclaim 8th March as The UN Day for women’s rights and world peace.
