Horticultural Society & Gardening Tips

The Peacehaven Horticultural Society is a club for those interested in gardening.

It has been running for many years and currently meets the third Mondays of the month (Bank Holiday Mondays excluded) at 7.30pm in Community House. The meetings include talks on gardening, wildlife and environmental subjects as well as quiz evenings.

The Club also organises visits to gardens of interest. Club membership is £6 per annum (£10 per couple) with a £1.50 entrance fee for each meeting and this also entitles members to buy gardening products at reduced prices from the Hut in Piddinghoe Avenue.

The Club organises an annual show at the Meridian Centre (this year August 12th), which is open to members and non members. There is a wide variety of classes, covering flowers, vegetables, preserves, baking, handicraft, flower arranging and children’s classes, and everyone is invited to enter. We are a friendly group and new members are made most welcome, so come and join us.

The annual show was a success bringing a flock of people to view wonderful flower displays & crafts.
