On a lovely crisp afternoon in mid-November, representatives from Chestnut Tree House, NSPCC, Sussex Pet Rescue and the Rotary Club gathered at the Gateway café, Piddinghoe Avenue, by invitation of the Mayor of Peacehaven, Cllr. Brian Gosling, to meet the High Sheriff of East Sussex, Mrs Maureen Chowen and her husband Michael.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon tea and had the opportunity to chat about their charities and the fundraising ideas to support various projects.

After tea, the Mayor walked Mrs Chowen around Centenary Park and talked about the big summer events the council organise for the community.
