Peacehaven to Celebrate the Centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s Birth

Residents and visitors are warmly invited to join the Town Mayor of Peacehaven, Councillor Deborah Donovan, in commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II with a series of special community events.

Taking place on Friday 17th April 2026, the celebrations begin with Coffee, Cake & Cha-Cha-Cha—an afternoon of music and dancing from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Community House, Peacehaven BN10 8BB. This lively gathering offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together in reflection and shared celebration of Her Majesty’s remarkable legacy.

Tickets are priced at £5 and are available in advance from the Information Office at Community House, via email info@peacehaventowncouncil.gov.uk or by telephone on 01273 585493.

Further commemorations will take place on Tuesday 21st April 2026, marking the centenary itself:

  • 10am – Raising of the Union Flag at Meridian Park
  • 12pm – Commemorative Tree-Planting Ceremony at Centenary Park

Peacehaven Town Mayor, Cllr Deborah Donovan said “I am truly honoured to lead our community in commemorating the centenary of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II through three special events.

Our tributes continue on Tuesday 21st April starting with the formal raising of the Union Flag at Meridian Park at 11am. This will be immediately followed by a commemorative tree-planting ceremony at Centenary Park, establishing a living memorial that will stand as a lasting mark of our town's respect for her lifetime of service. I warmly invite all residents to join us for these historic moments".
