ANNE BICKMORE CHILDREN’S FUND

The Anne Bickmore Childrens Fund was founded in 1991 with the aim of encouraging youngsters to raise funds for less privileged children.

The abcfund provides trips and treats, putting smiles on young faces who live with disadvantage day in, day out, year in, year out.

Registered as a children’s charity in 2005, the team of 7 volunteers raise funds to buy seats for the pantomime, Christmas food hampers and days out.

Many Peacehaven children and their families have benefitted from visits to Peppa Pig World, Drusillas, Knockhatch, and The Palace Pier. They have also had the opportunity to meet Father Christmas on the Chichester Canal as well as the Easter Bunny. The annual trip to Eastbourne’s pantomime is always a big hit and the Christmas food hampers are always gratefully received.

Anne was awarded a BEM - British Empire Medal in 2013 for outstanding service to charity.
