What is a Family Hub?
Family Hubs are a one-stop-shop for families to access activities or receive support in their local community, provided by East Sussex County Council. Peacehaven has its own Family Hub.
Who are Family Hubs for?
You can get support if you are:
- Pregnant
- A parent of a child aged 0 to 19
- A parent of a child aged 0 to 25 with special educational needs or a disability aged 19 or under
aged 25 or under with special educational needs or a disability
Start 4 Life
All Family Hubs support families with 0 to 2-year-olds to give babies a great start for life.
This includes:
- Support during and after your pregnancy
- Midwifery and health visiting
- Infant feeding advice and breastfeeding support
- Mental health support
Activities and Courses
Groups, courses and activities for families, including:
- Drop-in play groups
- Parenting classes
- HENRY – health, exercise and nutrition
- Life skills

Family Hubs can help you access other support, such as:
- Housing, employment and debt advice
- Services for young people through youth hubs
- Domestic abuse support
- You can also contact the family advice service.
Family Hubs in East Sussex are organised into areas. Peacehaven Family Hub is in the Lewes and Havens area.

Open all year round, except bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

- Bus: 4, 14A, 14B, 14C, 92, 123, 494 all stop nearby.
- Train: Newhaven Town is the nearest and has a bus stop outside.
- Car: Very limited car parking in street due to long-term building work. Space to drop someone off at the entrance.
