Lewes District Council is changing their household waste and recycling collections in the Lewes district to help boost recycling and make bin days simpler for everyone.
From week commencing Monday 9 February 2026, most homes will move to Alternate Weekly Collections (AWC), meaning your refuse and recycling bins will be collected on the same day, alternating each week, while food waste collections remain weekly on the same day.
