The Community Garden at the Oval is growing from strength to strength. Many of you have been along and helped Gary Johnson and his team at the Garden. The fruit trees are growing well and the other plants and flowers are flourishing in their new home.
The Task Force are taking on the difficult task of Howard Park. The Park is in an unusual position close to the cliff top to the South of the South Coast Road. This means that the Park has a harsh environment and young plants find it difficult to survive against the sun, wind and salt. The Task Force have identified plants that can withstand this environment and that aren’t too tasty for our local rabbit population. The Task Force are installing raised beds at Howard Park and will be looking for volunteers over the next few weeks. If you are able then please come along and help.
