Note to Residents
It is very disappointing yet again to find that residents in the town have caused damage to the much needed facilities and amenities. Peacehaven Town Council are working exceptionally hard to support residents behind the scenes. Uniformed services have recently signed a partnership agreement with the Council and Police now share our office space.
We have been working with the managing agents of the Co-operative, who look after the shopping centre. The security company has recently been changed, along with an upgraded, state of the art CCTV system, to ensure anti social behaviour issues are addressed and that residents feel safe to come to the Meridian Centre and shop.
The clear up costs, admin time and work that officers of the Council are already doing, is stretching our resources and we are being pushed to look at alternatives to the traditional reporting systems.
We support a Youth Group and various Community projects at the Council for residents of all ages to join – please check our website for details of What’s On – www.peacehaventowncouncil.gov.uk We would always recommend that any residents with information on perpetrators report directly to the police, either by telephone on 101, or in the event of an emergency by calling 999, Crime Reference No – 33 of 09/07
We will always support prosecution, where there is evidence to do so.
We want Peacehaven to continue to be a lovely place to live and to ensure our residents feel supported. The Council will continue to do what we can for our residents, within the powers we have.
