The Gateway Café was created by remodelling an existing maintenance building into a 40 cover multi-use café and interpretation space including kitchen, storage and toilet facilities. The building is the focal point of the new park and has been complemented with significant investment in new facilities in the park. The Café is open to the Public 7 days a week, 10am-5pm.

The Café includes a number of renewable technologies including Solar PV, Solar Thermal and a Pellet boiler. The café is a destination gateway to the South Downs National Park (SDNP) and has on-site provision of bespoke playgrounds, skatepark, sport facilities, cycle and walking paths and an ancient village reconstruction will soon be constructed (subject to funding), making this a unique park that attracts visitors from around the area.
